This means your website is programmed to respond to the user’s device by flexing to the screen size. This allows your site to be viewed by all modern Internet browsing devices. This, of course, includes smartphones, tablets, and computers of any size screens. This is not the same as creating a separate mobile website which is another method used by design companies to make your site mobile. The drawback to using that method is that you end up with more than one website to maintain, your mobile website and the desktop version. If you are on a mobile device your browser then has to detect if you have a mobile website on the server and open the mobile site rather than the desktop version. By having a responsive website any changes you make will apply to one site and will work with all devices automatically.
